2008 Board of Directors


Kathleen Fraser (Co-Chair)

In addition to caring for her two young children, Kathleen is currently a Master's Student in Counselling Psychology through the Campus Alberta Graduate Program. She joined the Wings of Hope Board of Directors in 2005. In her previous career, Kathleen practiced law for 7 years. This previous work experience has assisted her with her Board roles of Strategic Planning and in 2007 and presently, as Co-Chair. Having lost her own mother to breast cancer, Kathleen has a personal interest in reducing obstacles faced by breast cancer patients during their diagnosis and treatment journey. When she is not studying or caring for her children, Kathleen enjoys photography and scrapbooking, outdoor activities such as skiing and hiking, and spending time with her wonderful family and friends.

Tracy Quon (Co-Chair)

Tracy joined Wings of Hope in 2002 as the Foundation's Treasurer and to oversee the organization's growing endowment fund. Tracy is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst and works as the Director of Corporate Risk at StatoilHydro Canada. Tracy is a native Calgarian and volunteers with several other not-for profit initiatives. Outside of work and family Tracy loves to spend time with many different outdoor activities.

Diana Kalef (Advisor/Founder)

Diana is the Leadership and Financial Resource Development Director for Calgary Jewish Community Council. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1988 and has worked as an art consultant in Japan and Calgary. In 1995 Diana founded the Wings of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation and was President until 2004. Diana is currently the spokesperson and Past-President for the Foundation.

Loretta Tetarenko (Director of Board Development)

Loretta Tetarenko was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 32. At that time her daughter, Hayley, was only fourteen months old and she was just about to celebrate her 10th wedding anniversary. As part of her healing process Loretta Chaired the Holt Renfrew Fashion Show for breast cancer for two years and raised over $350,000.00 dollars. She is a registered dietician who continues to do some consulting work. Loretta also treasures being a mom. She enjoys skiing, travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Donna Lee Powers (Director of Donor Stewardship)

Donna Lee has a wide variety of experience in non-profit, corporate and network marketing companies mostly in Alberta (Edmonton & Calgary) and nine years in Auckland, New Zealand. She is presently the Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the Executive Director at the Calgary Jewish Community Council. In the past Donna Lee has served on the Board of SABIS (Southern Alberta Brain Injury Society) and the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank. She has also been involved with The Variety Club in Calgary where she met her husband Billy Powers of QR 77 Radio and a columnist for The Calgary Sun.

Kimberlee Isobe (Treasurer)

Kimberlee joined the board in early 2008 as Treasurer and is a Certified Management Accountant. She manages the Financial Reporting and Treasury group at StatoilHydro Canada and has worked in the Finance and Accounting field for over ten years. Although originally from the Okanagan Valley, Kimberlee grew up in Calgary and attended the University of Calgary. She has volunteered with several other not-for-profit organizations in various capacities and enjoys travelling in her spare time.

Kim Sorochan (Secretary)

Kim Sorochan is an engineering technologist with Pearl E&P Canada Ltd. She was born in Edmonton, but considers Calgary her home after living here for over 30 years. Kim joined Wings of Hope in 2007 in the role of Secretary. She has also volunteered with numerous other not for profit organizations over the years.
