The need for our funding from women afflicted with breast cancer certainly outpaces our capacity. We host a number of special events and fundraising initiatives each year that raise funds for our endowment fund. Our Endowment Fund recently surpassed the $1,000,000 mark, a goal set out by the charity’s founders over 10 years ago. The interest generated from this fund enables us to help up to 60 women each year in addition to the funds we advance for special programs such as breast cancer retreats run by Tapestry and workshops operated by the Breast Cancer Supportive Care centre at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary. The need for funding of these initiatives is ever growing and our goal is to continue to raise funds to expand and grow these programs in the future.
