Wings of Hope organizes an annual marquee fundraising event every fall that generates significant funding for our programs. These events would not be possible without the support of our corporate sponsors, event attendees and volunteers. We are truly thankful for all of the support.
2016 Luncheon, featuring Deborah Yedlin
Our 2016 Luncheon featured Deborah Yedlin, noted Canadian financial business columnist, who spoke about her mother's escape from Poland during World War II, her battle with breast cancer, her fierce determination to succeed in life and in love, and the lessons she passed on to her own children to have the courage to Be Anything.
We hope that by working together to support those of us in need, we can all do and "BE ANYTHING."
The luncheon was held September 12, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Calgary.
2015 Wings of Hope Virtue and Vice Masquerade, featuring comedian Jessica Holmes
We held a gala event - Calgary's most stylish Halloween party - on Oct 23, 2015 at Hotel Arts, to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Gala emcee Jessica Holmes, a favourite on CBC TV's Royal Canadian Air Farce, hosted the evening, including a live performance by Groove Academy, with lead vocalist Zoe Theodorou. The evening also featured a lively silent auction, and a Wings of Hope jewelry collection from the Bedazzled Collection, designed by Connie Paul. For photos from this fabulous event, click here.
2014 Luncheon, featuring broadcaster Gill Deacon
Award-winning broadcaster and bestselling author Gillian Deacon inspired us at our 2014 Luncheon. Her memoir, Naked Imperfection, is an exploration of how a cancer diagnosis affects our desire for control. Our Hope Collection of jewelry was designed by Connie Paul. Thank you to Mike Bailey Portraits for taking these great photos for us.

2012 Luncheon, featuring broadcaster Wendy Mesley
On October 26, 2012, Wings of Hope held its annual fundraising luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Calgary, with Wendy Mesley as a truly engaging speaker, giving the attendees a glimpse into her life and how she dealt with her cancer diagnosis. Guy Huntingford kept the program flowing and was a wonderful host.
